A LITTLE LIFE GUIDE / GUIDE

Keep warranty history through a retention review

A warranty dashboard depends on its retained source records.

A warranty dashboard depends on its retained source records. Check source retention before assuming that a product’s paperwork will remain available until its coverage date.

THE LITTLE THING TO REMEMBER

A future reminder is more useful when the source it refers to is still available.

01

Start with the source

New workspaces keep records until deletion, while existing workspaces retain their earlier source-retention setting. Open Settings and review the actual choice on this device, particularly if you are using an older workspace.

02

Make the review useful

Expiry cleanup happens when the app opens or resumes. Deleting or expiring a source removes its record from the dashboard. A derived task can remain, but it does not replace the full coverage source, preview and reviewed metadata.

03

Keep the next step clear

Keep complete originals and export important workspace data before cleanup. Exported JSON is plain text rather than encrypted like the local workspace. A retention choice should support the records you want to keep without assuming server sync will recover removed sources.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

One step at a time.

  1. 01

Inspect Source retention on the relevant device.

  2. 02

Choose a deliberate retention policy for coverage paperwork.

  3. 03

Keep original receipts and terms separately.

  4. 04

Export needed data before deleting or expiring sources.

A little reference.

ONE MORE QUESTION

Will another OneTap device restore an expired source automatically?

No. Devices keep separate local workspaces without server workspace sync; use retained originals and deliberate supported exports.

Your source stays the reference.

These guides explain product workflows. Review extracted names, dates and amounts. Features depend on your device, permissions and optional service setup.
