A LITTLE LIFE GUIDE / EXPLAINER

Use saved source previews when checking coverage paperwork

A saved image can make a warranty record easier to review, especially when you need to compare a reference or date.

A saved image can make a warranty record easier to review, especially when you need to compare a reference or date. Know the limits of that working preview.

THE LITTLE THING TO REMEMBER

Use the preview to find evidence and the original when evidence needs more detail.

01

Start with the source

New approved image captures retain a normalized PNG preview inside the encrypted workspace. Open the record and tap its image to zoom. Compare the relevant line with the reviewed metadata before editing a product name or expiry.

02

Make the review useful

The preview is compressed and stripped of source metadata. Keep the complete original document or seller invoice separately if a provider needs a full-resolution file, original layout or complete terms.

03

Keep the next step clear

If a small line is unreadable, return to the original rather than asking a summary to guess it. Older records cannot recover an image that an earlier version never saved. Retention and deletion also affect whether the source remains available in the warranty space.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

One step at a time.

  1. 01

Open the warranty and saved source preview.

  2. 02

Zoom the reference or date you need to check.

  3. 03

Use the complete original when details remain unclear.

  4. 04

Save only corrections supported by a readable source.

A little reference.

ONE MORE QUESTION

Is the saved image guaranteed to satisfy a provider’s document request?

No. Keep the original and check the provider’s actual requirements; a compressed preview is a working aid, not guaranteed claim documentation.

Your source stays the reference.
