Language selection is part of transcription setup, not a cosmetic label on the saved note. Choose the language actually used in the short recording before starting recognition.
Choose recognition language from the recording, then verify the result rather than trusting the label alone.
Inspect the recording first
Listen to enough of the file to identify its main language. The supported imported-note paths are English, Hindi and Telugu. Do not choose a language simply because it is your usual app preference when the recording itself uses another language.
Review mixed wording carefully
Names, borrowed words and language changes can still be recognized imperfectly. Read the output before building actions around it. For a difficult mixed-language note, a shorter clearer recording or manual correction may be more useful than repeatedly accepting an inaccurate transcript.
Keep the original when needed
A helpful language check is to listen for the main spoken sentences before starting recognition. A file title written in English does not prove its speech is English, and an app interface shown in one language does not select the correct recognizer for another. When a memo mixes a name or borrowed phrase into otherwise clear speech, inspect that fragment manually afterward. If most of the recording is in a different supported language than you first selected, choose the appropriate pack instead of repeatedly accepting an unsuitable transcript. Keep the original available for comparison so the selected language becomes a practical recognition choice rather than a label you trust without reading the output.

Can I assume arbitrary language detection is supported?
No. Use the supported language choices and review the output; do not assume the app recognizes every language automatically.
