OneTap’s imported voice-note flow is designed for short supported files up to three minutes. A long meeting or interview is a different transcription task.
A useful short excerpt is more honest than treating a partial reading as a complete transcript.
Choose a useful excerpt yourself
Identify the part that contains the actual reminder or next step. Prepare a short supported recording with a tool you trust, and keep the full original separately if you need it. Do not assume OneTap has reviewed portions that were never imported.
Review context around the excerpt
A short clip can omit who “they” refers to or which date “tomorrow” means. Add that context to the working note and verify it against the original. The goal is a clear action with enough evidence, not a partial transcript presented as complete minutes.
Keep the original when needed
When preparing an excerpt, listen to the sentence before and after the useful part. The phrase “send that one next Friday” is not self-contained if the omitted section identifies the file or explains which Friday is meant. Carry that context into the working note and label the excerpt honestly. Do not present it as minutes of an entire meeting or imply that unseen portions were checked. A short relevant recording can still be valuable when its limits are clear. Review the resulting action against both the excerpt and the original source context before choosing a recipient, date or reference that the short clip alone cannot establish.

Does OneTap automatically summarize an entire long meeting?
The current import flow supports short voice notes. Do not assume unsupported long recordings are fully transcribed or analyzed.
These guides explain product workflows. Review extracted names, dates and amounts. Features depend on your device, permissions and optional service setup.
