A LITTLE LIFE GUIDE / WORKFLOW

Investigate a reminder that did not appear

Check the schedule and operating-system permission before rebuilding the task.

An alert can be delayed or suppressed even when its task is saved. Start by checking the existing entry and device settings rather than creating several copies of the same reminder.

THE LITTLE THING TO REMEMBER

Inspect both the saved plan and the device’s delivery settings before adding duplicate reminders.

01

Inspect the local plan

Open the task and confirm that the rule is enabled, the time is in the future and the task is not completed or paused. Check whether you moved the next occurrence earlier. The notification queue refreshes when OneTap opens, resumes or its schedule changes.

02

Check delivery conditions

Allow OneTap notifications in system settings and inspect sound and Focus or Do Not Disturb controls. Android exact scheduling has an optional separate permission; without it, timing can be approximate. A visible in-app timer is not a guaranteed background alarm and should not be used for emergencies.

03

Plan for real delivery

Use one existing task to investigate a missed alert. Note its next occurrence, whether its rule is enabled and whether you already acknowledged or completed it. Then inspect OneTap’s notification access and the device’s quiet-mode settings. If you change a permission, return to the app and inspect a reviewed future occurrence rather than waiting for a past alert to reappear automatically. Record what you observed without promising that every later device condition will be identical. This gives you a controlled check of the actual configuration. Adding several copies of the same reminder can hide the original issue and produce overlapping alerts once the permission or schedule is corrected.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

One step at a time.

  1. 01

Open the saved task before creating a replacement.

  2. 02

Check its enabled rule, next date and paused state.

  3. 03

Inspect OneTap notification settings in the operating system.

  4. 04

Reopen OneTap and review the upcoming occurrence again.

ONE MORE QUESTION

Does a successful widget preview prove real notification delivery?

No. Permission prompts and background delivery need verification on the actual device and operating system.

Your source stays the reference.

These guides explain product workflows. Review extracted names, dates and amounts. Features depend on your device, permissions and optional service setup.
