A plan can change after you save it. Moving one check-in is useful when the original review window no longer fits, but the source deadline still stands.
Changing a review should reflect your plan while preserving what the document actually requires.
Choose a time you can use
Look at what the review requires: a two-minute read, a phone call or another person’s response. Pick a time suited to that action. Moving everything to midnight makes a list appear tidy while leaving you with reminders you cannot use.
Check related controls
After moving the next check-in, inspect the task alarm and any additional review rules. They may represent other moments and should not be silently assumed to have moved together. Leave a note if the new time depends on a response or another event.
Stay in control of the schedule
A review that required a quiet ten-minute read may no longer fit a busy afternoon. Move the next check-in to a time when the source will be available and you can actually use it. Open the task after saving and compare the new review time with its source deadline. If the revised time falls after the deadline, choose an earlier window or clarify the task instead of accepting a convenient but unusable schedule. Check any other review rules attached to that entry. A second rule may still make sense, but it should remain because it serves another purpose rather than because you overlooked it during the move.
One step at a time.

- 04
Inspect any extra rules or task alarms before saving.
A little reference.
Keep the context and your next action together.
| Choice | Use it for | Check before saving |
|---|---|---|
| Next check-in | The review being moved | Choose a usable time |
| Other rules | Separate review moments | Inspect independently |
| Source deadline | Original requirement | Keep it accurate |
