A phone can be convenient for capturing a thought, while a Mac is comfortable for reviewing it. OneTap’s local-only architecture means those devices do not share a synchronized voice inbox.

Choose where the working entry belongs
Decide which device will hold the reviewed task and its reminders. Importing the same memo separately on several devices can produce separate entries and separate notification plans. Completion on one device should not be assumed to update another.
Prepare local recognition where needed
Download the required language pack on each device you intend to use for imported transcription. Keep original recordings in a location you control, and move files deliberately using your own chosen method. That file transfer is distinct from OneTap workspace sync, which is not offered.
Use the allowance deliberately
A practical setup is to choose one device as the home for the action before transferring the original memo. If the phone is where you need the reminder, review and save the action there after preparing its language pack. You can keep the recording elsewhere for reference without creating another independently scheduled task on the Mac. If you intentionally save two copies, name their purposes clearly and inspect each schedule when the work changes. Finishing one copy will not update the other. This decision avoids a situation where several devices keep asking about an issue you already resolved, simply because the same recording was imported repeatedly with no clear owner for the active task.
