You do not need a perfect script, but a little structure helps when you later turn speech into tasks. Say the subject, the next action and any date you actually know.
Clear speech structure helps review, but it never removes the need to check transcription.
Keep facts and intentions distinct
“The letter says the 12th” is different from “I want to look at it on the 10th.” Say which date means what. If the date is uncertain, say that too; a clear uncertainty is more useful than a transcript that appears definite but is wrong.
Finish with the next step
Close the note with what you want to do: read a document, ask a question or check a response. After importing, keep useful context in notes and use a short task title. The app should not have to turn every sentence of a rambling memo into a separate obligation.
Use the allowance deliberately
Before recording, imagine the reminder you would want to receive later. Say a subject such as “service visit,” explain the known date and finish with “confirm the time from the email.” That final phrase identifies both the action and its evidence. If you also have an unrelated idea, a separate short memo may keep the later review clearer. Avoid putting unnecessary private details into the recording simply because it is quicker to say them than type them. On import, preserve the useful wording and remove conversational filler from the task title. The objective is a compact reviewed action, while the transcript remains available as the source context for that action.
One step at a time.
- 01
State what the recording is about in its opening sentence.
- 02
Say known dates with their purpose and context.
- 03
Label details you still need to confirm.
- 04
End with the next action you want to review.
A little reference.
Keep the context and your next action together.
| Choice | Use it for | Check before saving |
|---|---|---|
| Subject | What this note concerns | Name the context |
| Date | Deadline or review time | Say which one |
| Next action | What you intend to do | Keep it concrete |
Must I use a formal prompt when speaking?
No. Plain words work. A clear subject, known date and next step simply make the later review easier.
