A LITTLE LIFE GUIDE / GUIDE

Repeat a check-in every seven days

Use a rolling weekly review for work that needs more than one visit.

An unresolved request can need a weekly check without a brand-new task every week. A repeating review preserves the source, notes and history in one place.

THE LITTLE THING TO REMEMBER

A recurring check-in is useful when the issue continues after each review.

01

Set the first occurrence carefully

Choose the day and local time you want to start, then select Every 7 days. The interval is measured from that first occurrence. If you meant a specific monthly date instead, choose the calendar-month option rather than treating four weeks as a month.

02

Acknowledge rather than finish

After a weekly look, use Reviewed this check-in if the issue is still open. That records the review and keeps later occurrences. Complete task & stop repeats is appropriate only when you have finished the work and want future alerts to end.

03

Plan for real delivery

For a request awaiting a corrected attachment, write a note such as “weekly check until the revised file arrives.” At the first weekly occurrence, inspect the latest response before acknowledging the check-in. If a correction is still missing, add the current status and keep the next recurrence. If it has arrived, read it before deciding whether the overall task is finished. A weekly pattern is a review rhythm, not evidence that the provider promised a seven-day response. Keep that distinction visible in the notes so a future alert does not turn your chosen interval into a false claim about an external deadline or another person’s commitment.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

One step at a time.

  1. 01

Open the task’s Review check-ins section.

  2. 02

Choose its first review date and local time.

  3. 03

Set the recurrence to Every 7 days.

  4. 04

Acknowledge each review while the task is still ongoing.
