You may prepare a message now but want to send it after checking a detail or at a more suitable time. Use a review reminder rather than assuming the draft is scheduled delivery.
A later reminder should reopen the decision, not bypass the final review.
Say what must happen before sending
Write the missing check in the task: confirm the date, inspect the attachment or wait for another response. Give the draft enough context to make sense later. A generic “send message” reminder is less useful when several conversations are open.
Use the reminder as a review point
When the alert appears, reopen the draft and verify that its facts are still current. A person may have replied since you wrote it. Choose the right composer and recipient, then send yourself only after checking the latest context.
Keep evidence and outcomes distinct
When the scheduled review arrives, inspect the latest conversation before reusing the prepared draft. The recipient may have answered, the proposed time may no longer work or an attachment may have changed. Update the draft from that current evidence and recheck the destination in the actual composer. If the message is no longer needed, revise or complete the local task rather than sending it just because a reminder appeared. If you still need to confirm a fact first, move the next check-in to a realistic time and record the missing detail. This gives the reminder a useful role as a decision point, while leaving the external sending action under your current review and control.
One step at a time.
- 01
Save the intended recipient and purpose on the task.
- 02
Prepare an editable draft if useful.
- 03
Schedule a review at the time you want to reconsider sending.
- 04
Check the latest context before opening the composer and sending.
A little reference.
Keep the context and your next action together.
| Choice | Use it for | Check before saving |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | Prepared wording | May become outdated |
| Reminder | A prompt to review | Not scheduled delivery |
| Send action | Actual external message | You approve in the composer |
Will OneTap send a draft automatically when its alarm rings?
No. The alarm is a local prompt; the message remains under your control in the external composer.
