You can decide a plan still fits your needs this month and still want a reminder before the next renewal. Complete the review without ending its ongoing task.
An ongoing subscription often needs a completed review, not a permanently completed reminder.
Record the decision you made
Add a short note about what you checked and whether another action is needed. Avoid treating your local review as proof of a provider payment. If you changed something with the provider, keep the actual confirmation as a separate piece of evidence.
Choose the correct control
Reviewed this check-in acknowledges the occurrence and keeps later recurrences. Complete task & stop repeats ends future alerts on the action. Use completion only when ending that reminder task is really your intention, then check the record’s tracking configuration if the plan itself has also changed.
Preserve the evidence
At a monthly review, write down the actual decision you reached, such as “checked the new price notice; no provider change made.” Then acknowledge the occurrence if you want the recurring review to continue. If you opened a provider page and changed the plan, keep the resulting confirmation as evidence and update the record from it. These are distinct outcomes even when they happen in the same session. Before leaving, inspect whether the next check-in still matches the ongoing plan. That small final check prevents completing a review from accidentally ending useful future reminders, or leaving an obsolete recurrence attached to a plan whose reviewed date or status has changed.

Does acknowledging a renewal pay the bill?
No. It records a local review only; provider payments and confirmed spending evidence are separate.
