A selected model name is only a preference until the corresponding model is available on this Mac. Checking the installed list helps avoid requests that cannot start.
Check availability before sending a source to a model that exists only as a saved preference.
Open the local service first
Keep Ollama running, then choose Check installed models in OneTap’s AI setup. The integration uses the supported local loopback service. If no models appear, inspect the service and its local setup before repeatedly requesting analysis of a source.
Choose an available supported option
Select a model that the app supports and that actually appears as installed. If the desired selection is missing, download it deliberately or choose another installed supported model. Do not assume arbitrary remote endpoints, cloud tags or every model in a separate tool are supported by OneTap.
Review the result against the source
When refreshing the model list, compare the chosen setting with the returned installed names. An old preference can remain visible after you removed model data in Ollama, and a new download may not be ready merely because you selected it. Choose an available supported entry and make a small request only after the readiness check. If a model you expected is missing, inspect its actual installation rather than replacing the document being analyzed. Keep the distinction between the model’s availability and its suitability: appearing in the list means the resources can be selected, not that every document, language or image type will produce an accurate result without your review.

A little reference.
Keep the context and your next action together.
| Choice | Use it for | Check before saving |
|---|---|---|
| Selected model | Your processing preference | May not be installed |
| Installed list | Local availability | Refresh while Ollama runs |

Can I enter any remote Ollama server address?
The current integration is restricted to the supported local loopback service rather than arbitrary remote endpoints.
