A LITTLE LIFE GUIDE / CHECKLIST

Export a private workspace consciously

Treat an export as a new unencrypted copy of your saved information.

Export is useful before a device change or when you need a separate record of your work. It creates plain JSON rather than another encrypted app workspace.

THE LITTLE THING TO REMEMBER

Export gives you control by creating a copy, and that copy needs its own care.

01

Check the content being exported

A workspace export can contain tasks, reviewed record metadata, budgets, review rules and saved image previews. The fact that the file is machine-readable does not make it anonymous. Read the export’s purpose and choose a destination appropriate for the information it contains.

02

Control copies afterward

Keep the file somewhere you control and share only when you intend to disclose its contents. Deleting a capture inside OneTap does not erase an exported copy you saved elsewhere. The export also does not create automatic synchronization or prove that another device has restored the same reminder state.

03

Keep the processing choice visible

Name the export so you can recognize when and why you created it, then keep track of the location you chose. If you later update a task, the old exported copy will still represent the earlier state; it is not a live view of the workspace. Inspect which copy you are using before sharing information or relying on a saved date. When a record is deleted from the app, review whether the same information still exists in that export. The useful discipline is to manage the exported file as its own private document, with its own copies and age, rather than assuming app retention or deletion reaches every file you previously saved elsewhere.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

Your little checklist.

  1. Choose export when you intentionally need a separate copy.

  2. Select a private destination for the plain JSON file.

  3. Keep track of any additional copies you make.

  4. Review external copies separately when deleting app data.

A little reference.

ONE MORE QUESTION

Does deleting the app delete my exported JSON?

No. Files you exported outside the workspace must be managed separately in their chosen location.

Your source stays the reference.

These guides explain product workflows. Review extracted names, dates and amounts. Features depend on your device, permissions and optional service setup.
