OneTap devices keep separate local workspaces. Before replacing a device or removing the app, make an intentional export and check that you also retained originals you may need.
A device change needs an explicit data plan because local workspaces do not sync automatically.
Start with the source
Review the records you want to keep and use the workspace export. The export includes records, budgets, review rules and saved image previews as data. It is plain JSON rather than an encrypted replica of your secure workspace.
Make the review useful
Store the export deliberately and avoid sending it casually through shared channels. Bills can contain account references and addresses. Keep complete original files separately because normalized previews and recognized text are not a promise of full-resolution document archival.
Keep the next step clear
Do not assume another phone or Mac will automatically display the same history. There is no OneTap account or server workspace sync in the local-only design. Follow the supported import or owner setup instructions when moving data, rather than deleting the old copy first.
