Your dashboard depends on the source records that remain in the workspace. Review retention before using OneTap as a long-term reference for your recorded bills.
A useful history requires a deliberate retention and original-document plan.
Start with the source
New workspaces keep records until you delete them, while older workspaces retain their previous retention choice. Open Settings and inspect Source retention rather than assuming a new version changed the policy of an existing workspace.
Make the review useful
Expiry is applied when the workspace opens or resumes. Expiring or deleting a source removes its record from the dashboard, even though derived actions can remain. A task title alone is not a complete replacement for the bill metadata.
Keep the next step clear
Export important information before a deliberate cleanup, and keep original documents where completeness matters. Workspace exports are plain JSON and may include saved image previews, so store exported files with the privacy their content deserves.
One step at a time.
- 01
Check the Source retention setting on this device.
- 02
Choose Keep until I delete for retained history if appropriate.
- 03
Export important records before removing sources.
- 04
Revisit dashboard totals after a retention cleanup.
A little reference.
Keep the context and your next action together.
| Check | Example | Your next step |
|---|---|---|
| Source retained | Bill metadata remains available | Can contribute to the dashboard |
| Source expired | Record removed on cleanup | History view can change |
| Action retained | Follow-up still exists | Not a full copy of the bill record |
Why did an old bill disappear from the dashboard?
Its source may have expired or been deleted; inspect retention settings and any original documents or exports you kept.
These guides explain product workflows. Review extracted names, dates and amounts. Features depend on your device, permissions and optional service setup.
A little more clarity, in your pocket.
