A note is useful when you want to retain information before deciding on an action. Write enough context that you can tell what the information means when you return.
A good note preserves meaning before it adds structure or urgency.
Keep source and interpretation distinct
If the note comes from a conversation or document, say where the information came from. Separate what the source said from what you intend to do. That distinction helps you avoid treating an informal idea as a confirmed deadline or external commitment.
Add timing only when useful
A note can have a scheduled review when you want to revisit it. Choose an explicit purpose, such as checking whether missing information has arrived. You do not need to invent urgency simply to make a new note look organized.
Choose optional services deliberately
Try writing a note with three short parts: “what this concerns,” “what I know” and “what I still need to decide.” For a service conversation, those might identify the appliance, record the reference you checked and say that the visit time still needs confirmation. You can later turn that missing detail into a reviewed action without rewriting the known facts as though they were instructions. If you schedule a return to the note, name what you want to inspect then. The reminder will be more useful than a generic prompt to “look at note,” and the original saved entry will retain enough context for you to understand why the information mattered.

Does a manual note use the free entry allowance?
Yes. New manual notes share the device’s three-entry total with approved captures and manual to-dos.
These guides explain product workflows. Review extracted names, dates and amounts. Features depend on your device, permissions and optional service setup.
