Two bills from the same provider can be easy to confuse. Use consistent account labels so you can review the right meter or address without filling every title with a complete account number.
Consistent names prevent two ordinary bills from becoming one confusing history.
Start with the source
Choose a short recognizable label, such as “Home water” and “Office water.” Check the source account reference while importing each bill. Similar amounts and matching due dates do not make them the same record.
Make the review useful
Keep provider, record date, currency and payment status accurate for each entry. Use clear action titles for separate follow-ups. A reminder to check one account should not accidentally open notes about the other location.
Keep the next step clear
Review monthly category bars with the knowledge that they combine the reviewed records in that category. OneTap’s documented Bills view is not a dedicated household account ledger, so use naming and notes to preserve the distinctions you need.
One step at a time.
- 01
Choose stable short labels for the two accounts.
- 02
Verify the source reference on each capture.
- 03
Name the bill and linked action clearly.
- 04
Inspect both records before interpreting the combined category total.
A little reference.
Keep the context and your next action together.
| Check | Example | Your next step |
|---|---|---|
| Home water | Household account | Keep its label consistent |
| Office water | Workplace account | Use a distinct record title |
| Provider | Same service company | Do not rely on provider alone |
Does the provider name identify a unique account?
Not always. A provider can serve several accounts; compare the original reference and use clear record labels or notes.
These guides explain product workflows. Review extracted names, dates and amounts. Features depend on your device, permissions and optional service setup.
