A LITTLE LIFE GUIDE / EXPLAINER

Read an electricity bill with previous balances

An electricity notice may show current charges, arrears, adjustments and an amount payable.

An electricity notice may show current charges, arrears, adjustments and an amount payable. Review the labels before choosing the amount you intend to track.

THE LITTLE THING TO REMEMBER

Let the bill’s labels explain the amount before you summarize it.

01

Start with the source

Compare the billing period with the account summary. A previous balance can appear beside the current period’s usage and should not automatically be counted as a separate new expense. Keep the source’s own wording available for later review.

02

Make the review useful

Check the final amount and payment status against the provider. If the bill is still due, leave it in the due context. Confirmed paid spending needs actual reviewed payment evidence, a date and the spending checkbox.

03

Keep the next step clear

Use a task to investigate an unexpected adjustment or meter reading. The dashboard does not calculate energy tariffs or verify your meter. Your checklist can capture the administrative steps you want to take before paying through the provider.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

One step at a time.

  1. 01

Identify current charges and carried balances.

  2. 02

Check the account and billing period.

  3. 03

Review the supported amount and payment status.

  4. 04

Add any meter-reading or adjustment questions to the task.

A little reference.

Keep the context and your next action together.

ONE MORE QUESTION

Will OneTap verify electricity usage or tariffs?

No. It organizes the information you provide; meter readings, tariffs and disputed adjustments must be checked with the original provider.

Your source stays the reference.

These guides explain product workflows. Review extracted names, dates and amounts. Features depend on your device, permissions and optional service setup.

A little more clarity, in your pocket.
