A LITTLE LIFE GUIDE / TROUBLESHOOTING

Review retention before keeping long-term report history

A history view is only as durable as the source records it retains.

A history view is only as durable as the source records it retains. Check the device’s retention choice before relying on it to keep older report paperwork.

THE LITTLE THING TO REMEMBER

Long-term organization needs both an explicit retention setting and retained originals.

01

Start with the source

New workspaces keep records until deletion, while existing workspaces retain their earlier source-retention setting. Open Settings and inspect that choice rather than assuming an update changed it automatically.

02

Make the review useful

Expiry is applied when the workspace opens or resumes. Deleting or expiring a source removes its record from the dashboard. Derived tasks can remain, but their titles do not preserve the complete report metadata, source text or image preview.

03

Keep the next step clear

Keep original reports separately when completeness matters and make deliberate exports before cleanup. Plain JSON exports are not encrypted like the workspace. A retained list of reports also should not be described as a complete clinical history, because only supplied records are present.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

One step at a time.

  1. 01

Inspect Source retention on the device you use.

  2. 02

Choose a long-term setting deliberately if appropriate.

  3. 03

Keep complete originals outside compressed working previews.

  4. 04

Export needed records before deleting sources or changing devices.

A little reference.

Keep the context and your next action together.

ONE MORE QUESTION

Does a remaining task preserve a report after source expiry?

No. A derived task can remain without the complete source record that supplied its report text, image and metadata.

Your source stays the reference.
