One visit can produce a bill and a report on the same day. Keep their different purposes visible so you can review health documents without mixing them with confirmed spending.
One visit can have several records without those records sharing the same job.
Start with the source
Read the heading and body of each source. An invoice lists charges and payment information. A clinical report contains findings or recorded results. A provider’s name alone does not identify which kind of document you have.
Make the review useful
File the clinical report in Health with the correct patient label and record date. Put the invoice in Bills, using its reviewed financial metadata. A report that happens to mention a fee is not necessarily evidence of a paid expense.
Keep the next step clear
Create separate practical actions when needed: one may be to check a receipt, and another to prepare questions about a report. Neither the invoice nor a OneTap summary interprets the clinical content or establishes what treatment is appropriate.
One step at a time.
- 01
Identify the purpose of each document from the visit.
- 02
Save the report in Health with its patient context.
- 03
Review the invoice separately in Bills.
- 04
Choose distinct action titles for administrative and report reviews.
A little reference.
Keep the context and your next action together.
| Check | Example | Your next step |
|---|---|---|
| Report | Recorded clinical findings | Organize in Health |
| Invoice | Services and charges | Organize in Bills |
| Receipt | Payment confirmation | Check before confirming spending |
Will a hospital document always go into Health?
No. Hospital invoices belong in Bills; clinical reports belong in Health. Review the actual document type before approving its category.
These guides explain product workflows. Review extracted names, dates and amounts. Features depend on your device, permissions and optional service setup.
