Distinguish preview from save
A successful model preview can count even when you decide not to save its proposed capture. You received and reviewed the interpretation at that point. Saving an entry uses the separate entry allowance, while editing a previously saved item does not create another entry.
Keep failure and deletion separate
A failed or invalid AI request is handled differently from a successful result. Deleting a saved record resets neither counter, so use the trials for sources you actually want to evaluate. Lifetime removes the app’s trial caps, while online service fair-use conditions still apply.
Review the result against the source
Use a trial on a source whose result you can evaluate. A short notice with a known date lets you compare the model’s suggested action against evidence you understand. After the preview appears, inspect the source and fields before deciding whether to save; cancelling the save does not turn the completed model work into a failed request. If you need only to correct a title or change a review time on an existing entry, edit that entry instead of asking for another analysis. This separates learning what AI contributes from spending trials on routine changes that do not require interpretation, and keeps the entry counter distinct from the successful-result counter.
