A LITTLE LIFE GUIDE / EXPLAINER

Use a monthly recorded-spending limit

A dashboard limit gives context to the bills you have recorded.

A dashboard limit gives context to the bills you have recorded. It helps you notice a threshold; it cannot see unrecorded purchases or stop an external payment.

THE LITTLE THING TO REMEMBER

A recorded-spending limit is a planning signal, not payment control.

01

Start with the source

Select the correct month and currency in Bills, then use Set monthly limit. An overall limit applies to that reviewed view. Check that the selected month matches the record dates you are using before comparing the progress bar.

02

Make the review useful

The app shows an approaching-limit warning at eighty percent and a limit-reached warning at one hundred percent. Those states reflect confirmed paid records in OneTap, not a live bank balance or a comprehensive account of your spending.

03

Keep the next step clear

When the progress looks wrong, inspect the underlying records for duplicates, currency errors or missing payment confirmation. Changing a limit is not a way to correct bad source data. Review the records first, then decide whether your planning limit remains useful.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

One step at a time.

  1. 01

Choose the month and currency you want to review.

  2. 02

Inspect confirmed paid records for obvious mistakes.

  3. 03

Set an overall monthly limit for that view.

  4. 04

Use warnings as a prompt to review the recorded information.

A little reference.

Keep the context and your next action together.

ONE MORE QUESTION

Will the limit block my card or bank account?

No. It is an in-app dashboard warning and has no authority over external payments or unrecorded purchases.

Your source stays the reference.

These guides explain product workflows. Review extracted names, dates and amounts. Features depend on your device, permissions and optional service setup.
