Returning to the saved picture can clarify a number or phrase in your summary. Treat the preview as a convenient review aid while keeping important originals in their original form.
A preview is useful evidence, not a replacement for every original document.
Start with the source
Newly approved image captures store a normalized PNG preview inside the encrypted workspace. Open the record and tap its saved image to zoom. The preview is compressed and stripped of source metadata, so it is not a full-resolution archival copy.
Make the review useful
Compare the visible source with the record fields before changing an amount, date or sender. If the preview cannot resolve a small character, use the original file or paper rather than guessing from the summary.
Keep the next step clear
Older records cannot recover images that an earlier version did not retain. Source retention and deletion also affect what remains available in records views. Export important data deliberately, remembering that workspace exports are plain JSON rather than encrypted backups.
One step at a time.
- 01
Open the saved record and its image preview.
- 02
Zoom the line that supports the field you are checking.
- 03
Use the original when the preview is insufficient.
- 04
Save reviewed corrections without claiming more detail than the source shows.
A little reference.
Keep the context and your next action together.
| Check | Example | Your next step |
|---|---|---|
| Preview | Normalized PNG | Useful for quick review |
| Original | Full PDF or paper page | Keep separately when completeness matters |
| Older record | Text without an image | Cannot recreate an image never saved |
Are PDF attachments retained as complete files?
The documented workspace retains recognized text and normalized previews for new image captures; it does not promise full retained PDF attachments.
